It has been a while since Christine and I have shot together. I decided to change that. In looking at her Facebook page I saw she had a Hello Kitty fetish and a theme was born. While we were shooting, we came across an old boat sitting in a yard. I had her quickly jump in and took some photos for a composite.
This is the image I decided to use for the composite. I obviously felt it was the most spontaneous and really looked like she joyful.
As I preach all the time, TAG YOUR IMAGES. Because I faithfully do so, all I had to do was type in delta and water in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 to retrieve a host of images from years of shooting. This one felt right.
In Adobe Photoshop CS6 for Mac [Download] I first added a little wake from another image so the boat would not be sitting on a perfectly still body of water.
Then I added the masked image of Christina. I absolutely love the way Adobe has made masking a trivial task with the updated ‘Refine Mask’ tool. It is really magic.
I then added a bit of text and VIOLA! Christina on the delta.
